ORIENTAL MUSK
The Story Behind Oriental Musk
We wanted to make musk the protagonist — not as a whisper, but as a statement.
This wasn’t about making something vintage or nostalgic. It was about exploring what oriental perfumery could feel like today — layered, confident, structurally clean, and unapologetically rich. We started with a custom-built musk accord: warm, dark, and textured. Not synthetic-smooth. Not sterile. But full-bodied and dimensional.
Around it, we constructed a setting — woods, spice, touches of honey and dried fruit — each chosen to elevate, not distract. The goal wasn’t to impress with excess. It was to show what happens when restraint meets depth.
This is where modern meets heritage — not through contrast, but through composition.
Fragrance Description
ORIENTAL MUSK opens immediately with weight — dark musk at the center, already present, already settled. There’s no buildup. From the first moment, the tone is rich and grounded.
Threads of black honey and dried fruit wrap the musk in warmth, but the sweetness never overruns the structure. Coriander seed adds shape — a quiet, cool edge that keeps the opening from sinking too deep too fast.
As it develops, the musk expands. Not in volume, but in complexity. A trio of floral notes — jasmine, ylang ylang, and rose — soften the core without making it floral. They’re there for texture. Vanilla begins to round out the profile, binding warmth to the skin without ever tipping into gourmand territory.
Then comes the base — Mysore sandalwood and cedar, clean and polished. A touch of moss cuts through the density and gives the composition lift. Labdanum and patchouli finish the picture, adding quiet depth and endurance, never dragging the blend down.
The result is modern, complete, and quietly assertive. Nothing is out of place. Nothing overstays.
